Ironman plans 2011 - SIGN UP HAPPENS NOW!!!!

Hi all, 2011 is still far ahead, but since signing up for IM happens 1 year in advance it is time to think about it!!!! Mia, James and myself would love to go to France to race Ironman Nice at the end of June (usually same weekend as Coeur d'Alene). This race is challenging, as the bike is rather hilly, but at the same time one of the most beautiful courses out there, along the Côte d'Azur. You start with an Ocean Swim and then head into the mountains (Ligurian Alps)... Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4eMG9dZ1uc&feature=player_embedded#! Other options would be Ironman Austria or Ironman France - both the first weekend of July. It would be fun to have a group going to one of these!!! Let me know if you are planning on signing up for one of these...I can wait and will sign up for the one other people go to as well :-). Cheers again, Annett PS: Obviously, you will need to sign up SOON - end of June / beginning of July!

OK, more videos to watch....GERMANY is a good option, too. Guess, Jason is not going to Austria. IM Frankfurt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBt4_6WjMhI IM Regensburg: Will happen this year for the first time, but this is their promo video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l9W78Mt8s8 Good thing about IM Regensburg is, that it is beginning of August...so a bit more time to prepare. Good thing with Frankfurt is that a) you can fly direct from here to Frankfurt, and b) I could organize some homestays...plus, I mean, look at this video :-)

I'm not sure I can make it through IM Canada yet!

"I've had an entirely full season of bike racing. There hasn't been one race I have not been prepared for physically. The specificity of training has kept me in form for every race situation and discipline: road, criterium, and time trial."

APTS has prepaired me enough to move up an entire category within 3 months, and you know what? No injuries! I've definitely made a smart choice."
