I propose the following for the highwood pass weekend •Ride Saturday morning from the dam (same place as last year) at 9am then 30 – 45min T-run following the ride. •Feast in Canmore Saturday night •Trail run Sunday morning in Canmore

Hi all, I booked a room for Erin and myself at the Hotel of the Rockies in Canmore from Jul 23 to 25. http://maps.google.com/maps/place?q=-&fb=1&cid=5720985639954740482 I booked at hotwire.ca but maybe you could try the hotel direct and see if they have the same good rates (USD104 per night and room). Cheers, Annett

I'm in for whichever hotel works. Annett: I tried to talk Scott into coming for the weekend with no luck, so sharing a room would work great :)

Good idea. Last year we stayed at the Delta Kanaskis though my bro-in-law has moved on, no more deals there. May I suggest staying at Stoney Nakoda Resort. This is the casino-hotel that you see off the Hwy 1 across the exit to Kanaskis and our highway 40 to Highwood. It's very close to the dam as opposed to driving in from Canmore. Rates are $112 per night.

Hi all, OK, we should book our accommodation for the Highwood-Pass adventure on July 24/25. Last year we got pretty good deals with www.hotwire.com (right now rooms for 3 for $109 per room and night!!!). Problem is, it is like a "surprise" hotel...they only tell you the stars, and not the name of the place until after booking. Again, last year we staid at the Radisson hotel, it was good. I know that the following people want to go: Dale & Terri Brian & Chris Chris M Erin Annett Not sure who else??? Jill, Tyler, Mia, James, Lori, Chris??? I am open to suggestions, would like to car-pool and share a room...so let me know :-)! Cheerio, Annett Erin, would you want to share a room with me?

Canmore sounds good. Never stayed there. Any one have a friend who owns a condo :) or knows of a decent and reasonable hotel? What would the schedule look like? Still thinking July 24/25?

When are we thinking about booking something? Staying in Canmore I take it?

Count me in too! Pray for no rain this year. Been out to Canmore/Banff and Lake Louise the last few weekends. Sure makes the hours on the saddle go by faster.

Just kidding about skyline run, not a good idea for a good feeling IM Long Run workout. But if you do jasper on the July 24th Marc and I will join you all for dinner that night. Happy to see Erion on board, highwood is a great prep for everyone but good for newbies to get a true taste of 180+ km with real hills like Penticton.

Testimonials

"It’s been a couple of days to review the Endorphin Daze camp and I thought I would just give you my feedback.

I have been on many camps with Aerobic Power Training and each camp has been an amazing experience. Someone asked me which camp I like the best and my comment was “they were all great!” Every camp has a unique aspect to the camp and a different experience for what I am trying to accomplish at the time.

Endorphine Daze was the perfect camp gearing up for Ironman! The Nutrition information was fantastic. My head was spinning after the first lecture. I wondered how I had even completed the prior Ironman races without the knowledge that I had the first night. I am grateful to Cory for sharing this information with the group. I am eager to experiment with the information and incorporate it into my Ironman Nutritional plan for 2009.

I am constantly learning new information from you, Kevin. I remember hearing about the Power Tap information from you a while back. Of course, I immediately went out and bought one. Each time I hear how important it is to have this information drives home how hard I am working when I am out on the road. Now that I have a Power Tap, I believe everyone would benefit from this information.

The Ironman workouts were just a bonus to the information I had received in the lectures. Just to comment on putting these events together, I truly enjoyed the support on the Ironman Run. What a great day. It was plus 36 degrees. The support of everyone on the run was fantastic! The swim was wonderful. Seeing my coaches in the canoes/kayaks was the best! Can you smile underwater? I was! The Ironman Ride was beautiful. You truly gave us the Ironman support!

Thank you to the team of coaches for all the hard work. It takes a team of experts to do what you did to put this camp together and make it a success! Thank you, it was a pleasure to work with you!"

Happy Camper - July 2009
