"There is absolutely no way that I could have completed that race as well planned and prepared without your coaching, so thank you very much for that." Chris B
After some super results by Aerobic Power Athlete's we received some very thoughtful words of praise from athletes.
Annett Kamenz - 2nd Overall Female at Ironman Regensburg
To be successful in Ironman racing you need to have a plan. An individual plan that is based on personal strength and weaknesses, takes into consideration things like the amount of training volume you can handle and/or fit into your schedule, your goals and aspirations, nutritional requirements, as well as psychological aspects of training and racing. Kevin Masters has provided me with such a plan right from the start of my Ironman career. I picked up triathlon at the age of 28, and signed up for my first Ironman in 2006. In order to be properly prepared for this endeavor, I joined Aerobic Power Training Systems. Following Kevin’s plan, I managed to qualify for Hawaii in my first Ironman race. Trusting his advise, I decided to race with the pros in 2007. Kevin has been my biggest supporter ever since, and with his help I have continued to improve in every Ironman race I’ve done. Most recently I placed second at Ironman Regensburg, and felt like the happiest competitor out there, surprising all the fellow Germans and finishing on the podium. While I sure put in all the training, I attribute a huge part of my success to Kevin. Thanks so much for believing in me and for enabling me to make my dreams come true! APTS has become like a family to me. I really like the spirit of the group – open-minded and supportive to everyone, regardless of your ability. The group is really friendly, but focused. The whole APTS-Coaching Team is extremely motivated and supportive. Every coach is an expert in his or her field which ensures high-quality workouts with lots of instructive feedback from the coaches. A large percentage of the APTS coaches still actively compete in triathlons, road races, marathons, and other such endurance events which is a testament to their passion for coaching and racing.
Chris Bolivar - Newbie IMC 11:35 and a 3:56 Ironman marathon time.
Finishing, coming down Main and on Lakeshore was amazing. Felt strong coming in. The volunteers and spectators absolutely make the race. I don't think there is much that I could have done better that day on the race in terms of planning. All I can say is that the feeling of coming into the finish is absolutely worth every second of training.
There is absolutely no way that I could have completed that race as well planned and prepared without your coaching, so that you very much for that.
