I find many athletes just aren't sure how to maximize their commmitment to training. Athletes maybe coming off a year that involved a big commitment to their training and do not want to commit to anything as large in the upcoming year. So they don't know where they fit in, with some of the training programs out there. Others maybe looking for a larger committment towards their racing goals for the upcoming season but want to make sure they are maximizing their return on their committment. Aerobic Power offers free cosultations to help you plan out your season and make the best choices for your training and racing goals in accordance to your daily committments.
Aerobic Power is one of the few training groups in Edmonton that provide at least 2 coached sessions per week in all of the 3 disciplines; swimming, biking and running. You can select 1, 2, or all 3 disciplines for group workouts where you would then continue to improve your skills in these disciplines under the guidance of a professional coach. You also have the option to join 1 of 2 sessions per week, depending on your time available.
Some athletes are looking to really improve 1 specific discipline. You may do that specific group program or go 1 step further and even though you may consider yourself a triathlete, follow a more comprehensive training program for that single discipline to get to another level. You may want to take advantage of spending extra time in order to really progress at that sport.
For those athletes looking to target a BIG race for 2010 and beyond, and need some specific planning as well as hands on feedback in your swim, bikes and runs, our comprehensive Gold or Silver package is ideal for you. If you have too much going on to fit into somebody else’s schedule, then our bronze training plans provides you the specific details for your training to complete on your own but with the option of attending one of the group session per month for some coaching feedback.
The official new training season always begins the first week of November. This is a great time to start with the group training sessions. The coaches are huge advocates of developing the skills required in swimming, biking and running. This has always been common practice for swimming, but we’ll also break down the pedal stroke on the bike and teach you how to run more technically sound thus making you run faster with less work and bring improvement through consistency by decreasing likelihood of injuries.
